A lot of our members have been personally affected by cancer. It seems to touch almost every woman in this world…. Jami, of Bionic Beauty shares her story as to why she’s supporting and doing her part to raise awareness and raise money.. thank you Jami…. elke

A few years ago, my Aunt was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and before that, one of my Grandma’s. It seems that this disease has reached out and grabbed a hold of so many undeserving people. That’s why I chose to be active in raising money to help find a cure for Breast Cancer.

Bionic Beauty is more than beauty blogging, product reviews or the latest in skin care- it’s about women connecting and sharing. Breast cancer touches us all in some form or another. That’s why I put countless hours into Breast Cancer Awareness month activities. In our society, we have machines that can “sync” our car stereo systems, jets that fly unmanned, and computers small enough to fit in the palm of your hand; but we don’t have a cure for breast cancer. It seems unfathomable to me.

To help raise awareness, this month Bionic Beauty will feature pink products from Estee Lauder, Nubar, Jessica Cosmetics, Ramy Beauty Therapy, and Tweezerman. I’ll be hosting giveaways for limited edition Pink PedEggs, Loose Lips New York pink lipsticks, Jurlique, Nubar for the Cure nail polish, and an exclusive Estee Lauder giftset. The entire blog’s layout will change to pink to show support for this special month. I will also feature tutorials on pink ribbon manicure and pedicures, pink eyeshadow looks and other ways readers can to help raise awareness everyday.

My goal is to raise $100 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation via the ChipIn badge on Bionic Beauty’s home page, the Beauty Blog Network’s Comments for a Cure, and a $1 donation for every pink Bionic Beauty shirt sold during October.
