1. I know that you write for your beauty blog, but what is your real day job? I’m a fashion and beauty copywriter—currently in between full-time gigs, but doing a lot of writing and social media consulting for various companies!

2. What made you start your blog in the first place? How did you get started? I’ve always loved beauty products—seriously, for as long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed. After spending some time in magazines, I decided to start a blog, mainly because I wanted to write in my own voice. Beauty seemed like the obvious choice! My first post was about an Illume candle, and that was almost 4 years ago!

3. What makes your blog different than all the other beauty blogs out there? What’s your niche? I try to bring enthusiasm and a true love for beauty to every post I write. My main obsessions are skincare, lipgloss and nail polish.

4. What is your current favorite beauty product that you found because of your blog?

Such a hard question! If I HAD to pick just one … I’ d say La Mer The Eye Concentrate. There is seriously NOT a better eye cream out there.

5. What is your favorite post on your blog that you’re the most proud of?
I’d say my post about Audrey Hepburn. It’s one of my most highly trafficked and took a long time to research.

6. What is the coolest thing that has happened to you because of your blog?

Going to Fashion Week and meeting some of the most influential people in the industry (Ted Gibson, Tom Pecheux, Odile Gilbert, James Kaliardos, Danilo, the list goes on!). I really couldn’t have asked for anything better.

7. What is your favorite part about being a beauty blogger?

I love trying new products! Whether it’ s an eyeshadow or a moisturizer, I just can’t get enough.

8. What is your current favorite beauty trend of the moment?

To be honest, I’m not super inspired by any trends right now. But I’m still totally loving greige nails.

9. When you’re not blogging, what do you like to do for fun?

Read, shop, hang out with friends, play piano and sing!

10. What future plans do you have for your beauty blog? What do you see doing with it in the future? (i.e. new theme design, new features, adding new media, video, etc..)

I’ve always got tons of new ideas bouncing around. I need to keep them under wraps for now!
