Fashion Week just wrapped up in NYC last week, and there were so many great fashions and makeup trends strutting down the runway.

Sephora’s PRO Beauty Team was busy doing makeup for 12 shows during fashion week, and I have the deets on how to attain some of their best looks at home. Here are my a few of my favorite looks from Sephora’s team:

Dennis Basso
The Color Story: The collection is a modern take on old-school glamour. The designer was inspired by Hedy Lamarr, a 1930’s star known as “The Most Beautiful Woman In Films.” The contrast of the lip color shows there are no rules in glamour except confidence.

How to Get the Look:

• Complexion – For a healthy glow, use the Sephora Tricks of the Trade Mineral Matte Setting Powder containing light-reflecting ingredients.
• Eyes – Achieve a subtle, smoky eye, with the Sephora Colorful Eyeshadow in City Fog. Apply the Sephora Flashy Waterproof Liner in 10 Deep Black closely to the top lash line to complete the look.

The Color Stories: Seven designers (Cloak Dagger, Linus, Duskin, Vincente Vallarin, Min Young Lee, Yeojin Bea, S2VS) displayed fashion-forward trends for women and men with various makeup looks complimenting each collection. From rocker ballerina to modern glam and feminine, makeup ranged from strong smokey eyes to watermelon stained lips, sun kissed skin and rosy cheeks.

Cloak Dagger - How to Get the Look:

• Complexion – For a natural complexion, apply the Sephora Matifying Compact Foundation to the entire face. Light-weight and shine reducing, this foundation is great for long wear.
• Eyes – Create a strong smokey eye by using the Sephora Colorful Mono Eyeshadow in Must Have 06 over the entire lid.
• Lips – Finish off with the perfect orange lip – try the Kat Von D for Sephora Painted Love Lipstick in Stiletto.

Professional brand Temptu was backstage at a handful of New York Fashion Week shows this season. For Max Azria’s collection at the Tent at Bryant Park, makeup artist Lisa Butler led the Temptu Pro Team in creating the elegant and minimalist face of the Spring 2010 show.

For Spring 2010, the designer introduced a clean and sleek collection comprised of neutral, solid colors with post-modern touches. Lisa Butler’s approach to the makeup was to create a soft, subdued, and fresh look to complement the collection’s uncomplicated sophistication, “We wanted the girls to look as fresh and natural as possible,” said Butler.

To achieve this level of minimalistic elegance, Butler used the TEMPTU AIRbrush Makeup System, with the AIR Pod Highlighter in Champagne to add light and sheer accents underneath the brow bone, around the sides of the eyes, on top of the cheeks, and on the lips with a touch of clear mascara to lift the eyebrows. “Using airbrushing as an application technique really pulled the essence of natural beauty together,” said Butler. “It provides light, natural-looking coverage while adding dimension to the face.”

I must say, this look leaves me a little cold – it’s a bit too bare for anything but the runway.  Do you agree or am I totally off base?  Tell me what you think in the comments!

The Look

To compliment a sophisticated and bold collection, the makeup look features dark dramatic eyes, a smokey/cat eye combination, completed with a semi-matte complexion and peachy pink lips and cheeks. Makeup by Sephora PRO Beauty Team, lead by Jose Rivera.

Get the Look

The Look

Incorporating the vintage yet edgy style seen in the collection, the makeup look features structured brows, a strong cat eye, porcelain skin and deep red lips. Makeup by Sephora PRO Beauty Team, lead by Gilbert Soliz.

• Complexion – To create a polished face, start with the Sephora Collection Hydrating & Smoothing Foundation. Then, buff on the Sephora Collection Mineral Double Compact Foundation SPF 10 with the Rounded Powder Brush #4.
• Eyes – Master the cat eye by applying the Sephora Collection Waterproof Retractable Eyeliner in Black to the top lash line. Use the Sephora Collection Brow Tint Pen to create sophisticated and structured brows.
• Lips – To complete the look, try the Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick in Underage Red.

The Look

A fashion-forward collection for both women and men, the looks were sophisticated and stylish. The makeup look for women features strong eyes and a super natural complexion, finished with peachy brown lips and cheeks. The male makeup look is clean, set with a soft and natural complexion. Makeup by Sephora PRO Beauty Team, lead by Jose Rivera.

Get the Look

• Complexion – Apply the Sephora Matifying Compact Foundation to create a soft and natural finish.
• Eyes – To create strong eyes that set the stage for the entire face, apply the Sephora Nano Eyeliner in Midnight Black to the lids and smooth over with the Sephora Colorful Mono Eyeshadow in Choco Excess 19.

The Look

Inspired by who she has become, Avril Lavigne’s collection is rocker chic but with a feminine edge. The beauty look brings the seemingly contradicting styles together by pairing a messy, smokey eye with a girly, pink pout. Makeup by Sephora PRO Beauty Team, lead by Gilbert Soliz.

Get the Look

• Complexion – Even out skin tone with Sephora Hydrating Liquid Foundation. Buff on Sephora Mineral Pressed Powder to perfect the look.
• Eyes – Smudge Sephora’s Retractable Waterproof Liner onto upper and lower lash lines and apply shadow all over. It’s a messy, imperfect look so no need to be exact.
• Lips – Go for a bold yet feminine fuchsia tone like Sephora Maniac Long-Wearing Lipstick in Mat 01. Top off with Sephora Sweet Candy Gloss in Apple Pomegranate.

• Complexion – Create glowing skin for this modern glam look, by applying Sephora Luminous Glow. This creamy, light-weight formula has a beautiful pearly finish.
• Eyes – Keep eyes subtle by using a champagne eyeshadow all over the lid, such as the Sephora Colorful Mono Eyeshadow in Golden Girl 50.
• Lips – Finish off the look with a peachy, pink gloss such as the Kat Von D for Sephora Lightening Sheer Lip Gloss in Retox or Sexer.

Get the Look (Min Young Lee)

• Cheeks – Add a pop of color to this natural look with blush. Opt for a peachy rose shade, such as the Sephora Blush ME! Mono Meringue Jalouse 2 or Corail Frisson 5.
• Brows – In keeping the brows full, use the Sephora Brow Sculpting Pencil, which works to add color, set, and sculpt the brows. To keep the brows in place, apply the Sephora Professional Clear Natural Mascara.
• Lips – Perfect the pout with glossy pink finish, such as the Sephora FAME Lip Gloss in Starring Role.

Get the Look (Yeojin Bea)

• Complexion – For a dewy, natural and fresh complexion use Sephora Hydrating & Smoothing Foundation. Not only does this foundation hydrate the skin, but it makes for a silky smooth appearance.
• Eyes – Accentuate the eyes by adding liner to the top of the lid with the Sephora Doe Eyed Felt Eyeliner in Black.
• Lips – To finish this soft look, apply a natural lip gloss, such as the Sephora PURE Lip Gloss in Buttercup.

Get the Look (S2VS)

• Complexion – For the guy who wants to keep his skin natural and fresh all day, use the Sephora Matte Blotting Film, which work to remove excess oil and shine.
